Each one with their own challenges, each one with their own attitudes, and each one with their own importance's in their life at the moment. It was great to see my Grandma and my Aunt. It seems like it has been a long time. Grandma hasn't flown in over 12 years and she is 91. She was nervouse about flying in the frist place, and guess what happened? Out of all people, she was randomly selected for terriost screening. Can you believe that? I felt so aweful for her. But she made it, and said from now on she is staying home. This trip is huge for her though. Especially since she missed her own 90th birthday party in Tahoe. It will be great for her. Then they are coming back here next week and will stay for a couple of days. She will get to see our new house, which is something I didn't think she would get to do.

Aunty Mama (Aunt Cathryn) gave Thomas his Tappy Bear for his birthday. He loved it! We will start reading the book to him and teaching him how to tap when he is frustrated, scared, or upset about anything. It will help so much.

It's been so long....

A lot has changed since the last time I blogged. Thomas is going to be 2 years old in just 9 days. I can't believe it. We bought a house on Oct. 31st. I can't believe that either. Mikal is going to be starting highschool in less than a month, and Taylor will be going into 5th grade (last year of elementary school) in just 6 days.

The boys are keeping me very busy with football practices, 4 days a week. Thomas loves to go to practices and run around. He loves football! We can't wait until he starts playing.

I was working part time for a few months, and now I'm staying home and babysitting for my friends new baby. It's a lot of fun. I want to be able to stay home with my kids, but it's so hard these days financially. I hoping with the little bit of money I make for babysitting and with Pierre's raise coming up I will be able to stay home at least until Thomas starts school.

Here is a picture of our new house...

It's so nice to have our very own home. I guess I need to start keeping up with this huh. I am going to go back to my last update and start with something that happened after that.

Thomas started crawling right after Grandma and Grandpa Britanyak left. He is of course now Mr. Speed Demon, crawling as fast as I walk. Especially if he see's the gate has been left open. Boy he takes off, and we are all racing to shut the gate before he gets into the kitchen and takes out ALL the pots and pans from the cubboard. lol

This picture tells a little bit of two storys. Of course the first one, Thomas started standing up at the furniture right after he started crawling. This is a picture of one of the first times he stood up. Then if you notice the heating pad? I had to have my gall bladder taken out. I'll tell ya, that SUCKED! For me, worse than the c-section. But then it was my 3rd one and I new what to expect, didn't know what to expect with the gall bladder surgery.

Well there is a small catcher uper. I will be talking about more fun exciting things very soon. With Labor Day coming up, I will have pictures from our visit to NE. But before that I need to get pictures of babes 1st Birthday! Boy that was the best!! Look for more updates very soon.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://my3littlerascals.blogspot.com/2006/08/due-for-update-big-time.html' title='Due for an update... The Dinasour exibit was awesome!

But the best part was the Body World2 exivibit. We couldn't take pictures, but the kids and adults learned a lot of really neat things. We are so glad and thankful that we got to go. We also went to the Imax, the baby wasn't to happy, so I took him to the very top and he fell asleep.

The big boys played baseball with Grandpa. He got lots of toys from mommys Discovery Toy party from Grandma! I think I see some resemblance, especially with those smiles.

As you can see Thomas had a blast at the Discovery Toy Party!

We are so greatful that we got such a great visit with Grandma and Grandpa! Her oldest daughter Suzy with the help of her other 3 children Cathryn, Tom, and John, threw her a Birthday party slash Family Reunion in Tahoe on Friday May 26th. My Grandma and my Aunt Cathryn were getting ready to leave for a 3 day drive from Nebraska to Tahoe and my Grandma said she was having a pain in her stomach, so they decided to go check it out. Grandma ended up having to stay at the hospital because she had infection in her pancreas.

We weren't sure if we were still going to go to Tahoe with out Grandma being there. In the end we did go and had a great time at the party. Everyone celebrated in Grandma's honor and it was great. Aunt Cathryn was able to take back a wonderful DVD of everyone saying something to Grandma, and great pictures were taken. Grandma is doing a lot better and will hopefully be going home next week. We all love her very very much and hope to celebrate with her next year for her 91st.

My boys and I got to meet some a lot of our family that I have never met, or haven't seen since I was a very small girl. It was so nice to see how large our family really is. Also how wonderful everyone is. My husband Pierre wasn't able to come with us because he had to stay and work. :( We missed him a lot.

2nd Cousins once removed

What does that mean? Not exactly sure how to explain it, but all these cute kids are 2nd cousins once removed. They just met for the first time and had a wonderful time together. The girls are so cute, I wish we lived closer so the kids could spend more time together. Family reunions are really a great thing and would recomend it for anyone that has never done it. Can't wait for the next one.

Great Memories!

Tahoe is such a pretty place and brings back many memories of my childhood. I spent a lot of Christmas at my Aunt Suzy's and Uncle Allans Cabin in Tahoe with my cousins Michelle and Sean. He is SO cute. LOL I know, he's my baby so of course I think he's cute. But I just can't help it.

We took him to the kiddie pool for the first time and he had so much fun. He loves his little floaty and the hat he has on is so great. It protects his head from the sun, and you would think he would get hot but the fabric is so breathable that it's like he doesn't have a hat on at all.

When we took a break from the pool we all had oranges and boy does he love them! I have to be careful because of the little strings because he will choke, but he has learned to bite and pull his head back to get a big chunk. So most of the time I was scooping huge peices out of his mouth. But he loves them so much he would grab my hand for more each time I would try to have some for myself.

Then back in the pool with brother Taylor for some more fun.

This next picture cracks me up! That was a lot of fun. The kids all got to meet one of the Denver Nuggets players. I don't follow sports much, unless of course it's my kids team, so I don't remember the players name.

He went to pick up the baby so he could get a picture with him too, and as soon as he bent down to pick him up, Thomas started screaming. Probably because he looked like a giant. And he thought mom and dad were tall.

Even with Dad holding him, he was still a little nervous.

I just asked the basketball player if I could get a picture, just wanting one of him signing Taylor's basketball. And he was so polite that he got up and took pictures with all the boys. It was great because some times celeb's are rude. The kids really injoyed meeting him.

They have put in a new basketball court at the O'brian Park and the kids had a blast playing basketball.

While the boys played basketball Thomas played with his new frisbee they were giving out for free with Daddy.

He also had fun with his shoe. He used to chew on his toes, but now that he has two bottom teeth, it hurts a little. So he only chews on his feet now when he has shoes on.

Well this is getting a little long. At the bottom of the hill were some Multi Million Dollar houses. We found out later that one of them was Carmello Anthony's (who plays for the Denver Nuggets) that he just bought and sold for a cool 13 million. As we drove up the hill we started seeing some houses that were more for us normal people (so we thought) that had land. It was nice to see because any more the houses are so close together you can just about touch your neighbors through the window. Any way we stopped and looked at this one that was just built that had 3 acres of property. Well the owner was there and said he was selling it for 1,250,000 dollars. Wow. I guess because the land is so hard to find anymore.

After we were done day dreaming we started back down the hill. We saw a family of fox. Mom was resting in the grass and dad was watching over 4 very cute babies.

Then we saw a family of deer eating grass and resting under the trees. You can see the fox in the background. It was so cool to see the wildlife like that. I love living in Parker. It's nice to be away from all the hustle and bustle of the city, but yet close enough to everything.

Now, if you ever run out of bandaids my 9 year old son has the solution. All you need is a tube sock and some scissors. Cut a hole in the heal of the sock and slip your arm in carefully. See by putting a hole in the heel you can still have use of your hand. Don't forget to apply the neosporin first.

Thomas's first play date.

I haven't had much time to write lately so I haven't talked about a new Stay At Home Mom (SAHM) group that I joined through www.meetup.com. It's really cool. They have all kinds of meetup groups. You can search for just about any interest and meetup with people in your area in person.

Thomas only plays with his older brothers and mommy and daddy, so he doesn't really know what it is like to share. I had gone down to my neighbors that has a little boy almost 2 and she was babysitting a baby about Thomas's age. This was the first time Thomas was around little people his age and when they would take a toy that he was playing with he would get very upset. Even if he hadn't played with it for 5 minutes. It reminds me of a little shirt I saw once. If it looks like mine, it's mine. If I had it 5 minutes ago, it's mine. If it's something your playing with, it's mine. (something like that any way lol) But it made me realize Thomas needs to be around kids his age or he isn't going to know how to share or socialize with other kids. So that lead me to looking up groups on line and here we are now at his first play date.

It's funny because the two boys that were there are about 8 or 9 months older than Thomas and they weigh less than him. He is a big boy. The other two walk so he got to watch them and see how it's done. :)

We had a lot of fun and can't wait until our next event.

What do Garbage Cans and Toilet Flusher Handles have in common?

Now I know my kids know what a garbage can is because when they were two years old everything that had any importance ended up in the garbage. Once a whole book of checks went away with the garbage man. I'm sure that's where alot of missing things ended up. (There or flushed down the toilet.) But now over the years they have forgotten what purpase the garbage can serves. Every time I go into the kitchen there is something else laying on the counter that falls under the 'Garbage' category. Is it laziness or is it because miraculously it gets put into the garbage can all on it's own. 'Hmmm, must be the garbage fairy.' (I wish) I have also figured out that between the teenage years and father hood, the memory of 'the garbage can' doesn't seem to come back. You know now that I think about it, they used to love flushing the toilet, over and over and over again to watch all sorts of things go round and round. But once again, they have forgotten where that little flusher handle is. I'm wondering if my boys are the only ones that have forgotten or if there are others.
Until next time....

Was that your first word?

Our new apartment has a really nice balcony and ever since we moved here in the mornings I take you out on the balcony and we watch the birds fly around. You listen for them chirping and look all around for them until they finally fly by. I always say "that's a birdie, do you see the birdie flying". So every time we go outside now you look for the birds in the sky. Well just the other day you were looking up in the sky and started saying "br br, br br". I said, "ya birdie. Do you see the birdies"? "br br". So cute, you haven't done it since, so I thought maybe it was coincidence? Well today we were in the store and you were sitting in the cart and wanted to suck on the metal part of the cart (yes I did clean it with those cleansing wipes, but still, yuck!) Any way, so I said "No No, that is yucky". So then the rest of the time we were in the store you kept saying "na na" "na na". So the question is, was birdie or 'br' your first word?? Other than ma ma and da da of course. :)

A day with Ponderosa Elementery

On Thursday my middle boy Taylor and a group of kids from his school that are in Blazer Buddies went to the zoo for a field trip. I 'voluntered' to be a Denver Zoo Chaparon. Must have been out of my mind when I said I would LOVE to go! No just kidding, it actually ended up being quite a bit of fun.

Well the zoo was having a school day, so just about every child from age 0 to 18 was at the zoo that day. So you can only emagine what that was like. But Taylor and I had a great time and the baby loves the Giraffe's and the Fishies.

The oldest Giraffe is 18 feet tall and the youngest was 5 days old born at 6 feet! SO cute.

Here is a picture of the old man chewing his food.

So we had until 1:00 and then we were all supposed to meet back up by the busses. Taylor wanted to get an ice cream cone and see the aligators before we left. So we got the ice cream cone and headed towards the aligators. We had just enough time to do both and the aligators were on our way out. We got to the exibit and a security guy said I'm sorry, no strollers or food inside. NO STROLLERS?? K, baby weighs 20 lbs, I have been up since 5:30 it's like 100 degrees out and we have been walking around the zoo for 3 hours, and I can't take the baby stroller in? Alright, I can do this. Taylor, scarf your ice cream down. We did get some cute pictures while we were waiting for Taylor to eat his ice cream ;) It's hard to take a picture of yourself when there are 3 people with out cutting someone off. After 5 trys we got most of the baby. Any way, back to my story. So Taylor got his ice cream down and we took the baby and all valuables out of the stroller and a way we went. *snif snif*, did the baby poop? We have 5 minutes!! So I ran and changed the baby and Taylor went to find the aligators. I caught back up with Taylor and he just had to see the big snake before we left. "Just Real Fast Mom" Ok, finally we are out the door going to meet the rest of the group. Shoot, forgot the stroller!! We finally get to the entrance of the Zoo, and the busses are GONE!! Well luckily I drove myself because of the baby, BUT I took a mom and her 2 boys with me because they were short on seats. So now what? Did she get on the bus, is she looking for us? Any way, they did get on the bus and I got Taylor back to school safely.

Ready for the second half of the day? Yes that was just the first half of our fun filled day. Taylor had Multi Cultural Night at school and he was in the Choir. From Tackle Football to Choir. Which really matches his personality. Rough and tough to sweet and lovey.

He was so cute and he did so good.

Before the concert they had a pot luck. Parents brought food that they made from their country. There were some really good things. We had to try a little bit of every thing.

So we had a very busy day, not to mention in between the Zoo and Multi Cultural Night we all went to the park with some friends of ours. You would think that would have been enough fun to last at least a week. But nooo. Yesterday we spent the day and night at another friends. Nothing to exciting. Well here are a few more pictures to finish up our day with Ponderosa Elementery.

The END

Exhausted

To exhausted to write tonight. I would point at my nose and say NOOOSSE and then point to your nose and say NOOSSE. Then the whole family got in on it. Brother's nose, Daddy's nose, baby's nose, mommy's nose. Every time I would point to my nose you would laugh. (you know, if you say nose to many times, it starts to sound funny)

Then when it was time for bed daddy came in to say good night and we started doing to nose thing again. I think you have finally fallen asleep for your morning nap, so I thought I would write some more. I love this picture of you, it really shows your beautiful big round eyes. You are growing so fast, I can't believe it. I wish there was a way to slow down time.

On April 20th you finally mastered rolling from back to tummy. You were so proud of yourself as we all clapped and yelled "yeah". Now you are rolling all over the house to get the things that were once so far out of your reach. It just seemed like yesterday that you couldn't even hold your own bottle, and needed help sitting up. I know that crawling, then walking is just around the corner.

I have forgotten what it is like to have a baby proof home. As I look around I see so many things that your little hands and mouth would just love to have that shouldn't. The movies will need to be placed some where high, the books and breakables on the book shelf will need to be moved and replaced with baby books and toys. Not to mention the obvious outlets and cupboard doors. Boy do I have my work cut out for me.

I am excited with all of your changes and new found abilities, but at the same time sad to see you growing so fast.

My house smelled like a cologne factory...

So we have recently moved about 15 miles from where we have lived for over 5 years and the boys will have to change schools next year. Right now I'm driving them back and forth to school to finish out the school year. My oldest was worried about leaving his 'girlfriend' and of course both the boys were worried about finding new friends. Well we have been here for about 3 weeks and they have several new friends just from the neighborhood and are loving it here so far. Of course they haven't had to change schools yet, but I'm sure they will adjust just fine. They seem to make friends very fast.

Saturday the boys had a friend over from our old neighborgood and they all went down to the hot tub at the clubhouse and had a blast. Then on Sunday morning they took a shower, and spent about a half hour getting ready to go out side?? Ok... the biggest shock was I didn't have to tell them for 3 hours that yesterdays hygiene doesn't work for todays hygiene and they need to take a shower at least a few times a week! Then I'm hit with a very strong sent of their Axe cologne (if you have a pre teen boy, you know what Axe is!) "BOYS!! What are you doing"?? "We are going outside to play".

So come to find out, they both have new girlfriends that they met while at the hot tub the night before. What does it mean to be girlfriend and boyfriend when you are 9!? lol I have dealt with the girlfriend thing for almost 2 years with my 13 year old, but isn't 9 a little early. I guess he is following his big brother, and it's kind of cute. But the poor girls probably couldn't breath if they were with in 10 feet of them. But the best thing is the girls asked them if they wanted to 'go out' and the 9 year old girl said her old boyfriend cheated on her. oh brother

I guess I will have lots of practice with this girlfriend thing before the baby is that age, and I sure hope it doesn't start any early than 9. :)

This is Thomas after his bath.
